Protection from exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke
Policy recommendations on second-hand smoke
A small working group of recognised experts in the field of tobacco control met in Montevideo, Uruguay. I was pleased to be included in that prestigious gathering. For a week, we thrashed out the evidence and ideas and reached conclusions. For the next year, we wrote and edited the results of that intense week. I was part of the editing team who finalised the publication.

Tobacco control in Namibia: the importance of government capacity, media coverage and industry interference
My participation – Information and opinion contributor
Often I contribute material, information, facts and opinion to research. This might result in only a mention in References, but it demonstrates the value which researchers placed on my experience and expertise. Here is an example of a publication by Jamie Tam and my good friend and colleague, Prof Corne van Walbeek. See reference 42.
